SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY CENTRES, OR LOCAL CHAPTERS PARTNER WITH NITIPATH TO HOST THE CIVIC FOUNDATION PROGRAM. STUDENTS ARE GROUPED INTO COHORTS FOR SUSTAINED, STRUCTURED ENGAGEMENT OVER MULTIPLE WEEKS.
PARTICIPANTS BEGIN WITH GUIDED SESSIONS ON LOCAL GOVERNANCE STRUCTURES, CITIZENS’ RIGHTS AND DUTIES, AND HOW PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS FUNCTION AT THE GROUND LEVEL.
EACH WEEK FOCUSES ON A CORE CIVIC THEME SUCH AS LOCAL GOVERNANCE, PUBLIC SERVICES, ACCOUNTABILITY, WELFARE SCHEMES, AND ENVIRONMENTAL GOVERNANCE, USING DISCUSSION, VISUALS, AND INTERACTIVE METHODS.
STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN MOCK GRAM SABHAS, YOUTH PARLIAMENTS, POLICY DEBATES, AND DECISION-MAKING EXERCISES BASED ON REAL LOCAL ISSUES.
PARTICIPANTS ENGAGE DIRECTLY WITH THEIR SURROUNDINGS THROUGH NEIGHBOURHOOD ISSUE MAPPING, COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS, AND OBSERVATION OF LOCAL GOVERNANCE PROCESSES.
STUDENTS MAINTAIN REFLECTION JOURNALS AND GROUP NOTES TO RECORD PROBLEMS IDENTIFIED, INSTITUTIONAL GAPS OBSERVED, AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS DISCUSSED.

8. FEEDBACK, CERTIFICATION & CONTINUITY
EACH COHORT COMPLETES A FINAL OUTPUT SUCH AS A COMMUNITY ISSUE BRIEF, MOCK POLICY PROPOSAL, AWARENESS INITIATIVE, OR PRESENTATION TO PEERS OR COMMUNITY MEMBERS.
THE PROGRAM CONCLUDES WITH REFLECTION SESSIONS, FACILITATOR FEEDBACK, CERTIFICATION, AND PATHWAYS INTO ADVANCED NITIPATH INITIATIVES SUCH AS UDAAN AND VASUDHAIV.
THE CIVIC FOUNDATION PROGRAM USES INTERACTIVE SESSIONS, LOCAL STORIES, GAMES, AND DISCUSSIONS TO INTRODUCE STUDENTS TO CIVIC VALUES AND COMMUNITY LIFE. THROUGH WHICH THEY LEARN HOW TO LISTEN AND ENGAGE RESPONSIBLY IN EVERYDAY CIVIC SPACES.
IT INTRODUCES STUDENTS TO THE CORE IDEAS OF DEMOCRACY, LOCAL GOVERNANCE, AND ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP THROUGH HANDS-ON, COMMUNITY-BASED LEARNING.
USING TOOLKITS, DISCUSSIONS, SIMULATIONS, AND COLLABORATIVE PROJECTS, STUDENTS LEARN HOW DECISIONS ARE MADE AT THE LOCAL LEVEL AND HOW ORDINARY CITIZENS CAN SHAPE PUBLIC LIFE.
CURRICULUM

THE CIVIC FOUNDATION CURRICULUM USES INTERACTIVE TOOLKITS, DISCUSSIONS, AND COMMUNITY PROJECTS TO INTRODUCE STUDENTS TO DEMOCRACY AND LOCAL GOVERNANCE. IT BUILDS PRACTICAL UNDERSTANDING OF HOW CIVIC SYSTEMS WORK AND HOW YOUNG PEOPLE CAN PARTICIPATE MEANINGFULLY IN PUBLIC LIFE.
